Thank you for your incredible generosity in making my three-day ayahuasca retreat possible. Because of your kindness, I was given an opportunity that I could not have afforded on my own.
The experience was deeply meaningful and provided me with insight, healing, and a renewed sense of hope. Your gift wasn’t just financial, it was an investment in my well-being and my future. I am truly grateful for your compassion and belief in helping others find a path toward healing.
Thank you for making a lasting difference in my life.
Support like this is the reason small nonprofits like ours are able to thrive. Operation Solace’s generosity doesn’t just fund a program — it directly touches the lives of the veterans we serve, giving them the resources and care they need during a pivotal moment in their healing.
Veteran-led. Built from lived experience.
Depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and invisible wounds from military service left Gabriel Gonzales searching for a way forward.
A healing experience helped him begin. Lasting change came afterward through integration, honest conversation, community, and people who stayed. He founded Operation Solace so other veterans would not have to navigate that work alone.

How We Help
Operation Solace helps veterans navigate psychedelic-assisted healing by funding preparation, integration, practical assistance, community, and connection to independent partners. The goal is not simply access to an experience, but support around the wider healing journey.
Operation Solace focuses on practical, relational, and financial support that can help veterans prepare, integrate what they have experienced, stay connected, and reduce barriers to care.
Before a partner-led program, funding may help make preparation available so veterans can enter the experience with more context, support, and intention.
The work does not end when an experience ends. Integration can help veterans reflect on what happened, carry useful insight into daily life, and continue the longer process of change.
Healing can be isolating. Peer connection, trusted relationships, and community can help veterans feel less alone as they continue moving forward.
Meals, program-related costs, and other practical needs can become real barriers. Operation Solace helps reduce those barriers when resources allow.
How it works
Operation Solace helps fund access and surrounding support. Independent partner organizations manage their own programs, participant requirements, safety processes, and any specialized therapeutic or clinical services they provide.
What may be available depends on the veteran's circumstances, the partner, location, timing, and available resources. Operation Solace does not promise placement, funding, treatment, or a particular outcome.
Our role is to help make responsible support more reachable. Independent partners provide their own specialized programs and services.
What your donation makes possible
Donations can help fund preparation and integration support, meals and program-related needs, peer and community connection, and access to trusted independent partners and resources.
Operation Solace is 100% donation-based, with no administrative fees. Every dollar goes toward veteran care, resources, and connection.
A one-time gift can help meet an immediate need. Recurring support helps create a more dependable base for future veterans.

Start where you are
Maybe you are considering psychedelic-assisted healing and want to understand the support around it. Maybe you have already had an experience and are trying to make sense of what comes next. Maybe you are a family member, caregiver, friend, or supporter trying to help a veteran find a path forward.
You do not need to diagnose the problem or choose a program before contacting Operation Solace. Reaching out can simply start a conversation about where you are and what may be useful.
Ways we may be able to help
Support before a partner-led program may include funded preparation sessions or practical help that makes participation more manageable.
After an experience, integration support can help turn insight into something useful in everyday life and keep the work from ending when the program does.
Peer connection and community can help reduce isolation and give veterans people to talk with as they continue their healing.
When resources allow, Operation Solace may help with practical barriers such as meals and program-related costs.
Specialized therapeutic or clinical services are provided by independent partners, not Operation Solace.

From veterans who have been there
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the incredible gift you gave me. Your generosity made it possible for me to experience this ayahuasca journey, and I truly do not have the words to express what it has meant to me.
I came here carrying burdens that had been weighing on me for a long time. I knew I needed something to change, but I was not sure what that looked like. This experience gave me exactly what I needed. It allowed me to heal, reflect, and reconnect with parts of myself that I had lost along the way. I am in a much better place mentally, emotionally, and spiritually than when I arrived.
What you gave me was not simply the opportunity to attend a retreat. You gave me the chance to heal. You gave me hope, perspective, and a renewed sense of purpose. That is a gift that reaches far beyond this moment and will continue to shape my life for years to come.
Experiencing the impact of your generosity has also changed the way I see giving. I now understand, on a deeply personal level, the profound difference one act of kindness can make in another person’s life. My hope is that one day I will be in a position to do for someone else what you have done for me, to pay this gift forward and help another person find the healing and peace they need.
Thank you for believing in me and for investing in someone else’s well being without expecting anything in return. Your kindness has had a lasting impact on my life, and I will never forget it.
I am deeply grateful for you, your generosity, and the heart behind it all. Thank you for helping me find my way back to myself.
When I was struggling, I felt like I was navigating things on my own. I didn't know where to turn, and I wasn't aware resources like Operation Solace existed. They connected me with the support I needed at a critical time, and that support made a real difference in my life.

Our Story
Operation Solace was founded by U.S. military veteran Gabriel Gonzales after his own experience taught him that healing is not a single event. The support surrounding an experience, preparation, integration, honest conversation, accountability, and community, can matter just as much as the moment itself.

The point where something had to change
Depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and the visible and invisible wounds of military service accumulated over time. Life kept moving, but internally the weight became harder to carry.
Those years eventually led to a failed suicide attempt.
Gabriel survived, but survival was not the same as healing.
One experience opened a door. The work continued afterward.
Later, Gabriel participated in a carefully supported psychedelic healing experience. It was meaningful, but it did not erase his trauma or magically fix his life.
What changed most was what happened afterward. Through integration, honest conversation, accountability, reflection, community, and continued support, Gabriel began turning the experience into lasting changes in how he lived and responded to difficult emotions.
He came to understand healing as a continuing practice rather than a finish line.

Building what he wished had existed
Gabriel saw how difficult it could be for veterans to afford responsible support, navigate independent programs, stay connected afterward, and find people who understood the longer process of healing.
He created Operation Solace to help reduce those barriers.
The organization helps fund preparation, integration, practical assistance, community, and connection to independent partners. It does not directly provide psychedelic medicine, ceremonies, therapy, or clinical treatment.
See How We Help →What we believe
A powerful experience can open a door. Continuing change takes reflection, integration, support, and time.
The website, the organization, and the community around it should treat veterans as whole people with agency, strength, and different needs.
Healing is harder in isolation. Trusted relationships, peer connection, and community can make the path more sustainable.
Helping someone reach a program is not enough if they are left alone with what comes next.
Carry the mission forward
Operation Solace exists because Gabriel experienced both the power of a healing opportunity and the importance of what came after it.
